SUPER ARCHERY MODE |
We have improved the design of CE-3 "True Archery" mode.
It is now ten times more effective than our
CE-2 model;
hence, the name Super Archery Mode.
Archery and Paintball use low velocity projectiles.
Indoor lights and muzzle blast interfere with these measurement.
Most chronographs are
designed to work outdoors and indoors with incandescent light bulbs.
If you ever purchased an
indoor light fixture for your chronograph, then you probably noticed that it uses
incandescent light bulbs.
Most commercially available incandescent light bulbs emit a small amount of flicker that the eye can not detect, but it interferes with low velocity measurements. Practically, all chronographs that we know, use electronic filters to cope with this problem. However, these filters reduce the ability to measure accurately low velocity, small object and very sharp arrows. This is the reason why some manufacturers sell special units for archery, which they call "Archery Chronographs", which use less filtering to allow a better detection of low velocity projectiles.
These "Archery Chronographs", contrary to their claim, are not really able to measure low velocities and small or sharp objects effectively. You can check your chronograph's archery capability by dragging your hand over the sensors at about 3 to 4 feet/sec (indoors or outdoors). You will notice that practically none of the competing units are able to measure your hand's velocity.
We have solved this problem by designing a new generation chronograph that even in Non-Archery mode will detect velocities down to 3 feet/sec. When you set our chronograph into "Archery Mode", you get a "True-Archery" capability. No other chronograph has this feature.
Our units, even in normal mode,
outperform any competing "Archery-Chronograph".
To test it, move your hand over the sensors at about 3 feet/sec. Just make sure
that you have sufficient light, incandescent or sunlight. If our chronograph
fails to detect your hand's velocity, we will refund your money when you return
the unit (less shipping cost). The unit must be returned within 6 weeks of
purchase date.
Our chronographs allow you to select "True Archery" or a "Normal" mode
by simply pressing a few keys. To do the same with competing chronographs, you
need to buy 2 units, one for "Archery" and one for "Normal" use and you still
will do not
get a true archery.
A True-Archery mode does not work with
incandescent light bulbs that use AC power.
If a "True Archery" mode is
required for indoors, then you must provide a DC power to your light bulbs. We
will eventually provide a cost-effective solution for this problem, using new solid
state LEDs.
