This is an optional feature that requires additional electronics to handle
dual power sources, such as Solar Cell, AC Adapter and Car Battery etc.
To get this option you must add $9.50 to the final cost of the product.
This includes onboard electronics with a DC power plug.
It has protection against wrong polarity adaptors.
Also, it will tolerated a wide range of adaptors,
from 9.0-Volds DC to 23.00-Volts DC.
Do not throw out that old adaptor.
Save your environment.
Reuse it.

AC Adapter, Solar Cell or Car Battery Adapter can be purchased separately.
Because of the shipping costs, you may be able to get these items locally
at a lower cost than we can ship. These items may also be quite heavy.

Dual Power

This option is available for CE-3A,B&C

This option provides DC power plug on the back for  AC Adapter, Solar Cell or Car Battery.
Because there is only one plug, only one external power source may be used at any one time. CE-3 will switch automatically to the external power source if available. When external power source fails, it automatically switches to internal 9-Volt battery.

For example, if Solar Cell is used and a cloud suddenly passes over, the unit will switch automatically to the internal 9-Volts battery, if the power drops below safe limit. Your work is never interrupted and data never lost. The same is true when you use AC Adapter; an accidental power loss does not interrupt your work.  This is only true for Normal Mode,
in Super Archery Mode you may get one or more errors during power switchover.
Please make sure that a good 9-Volt battery is installed to take care of such emergencies.

You do not need to purchase from us the AC Adapter, Solar Cell or Car Battery extensions.
CE-3 will tolerate a wide range of commercially available AC adapters and Solar Cells.
It has protection again accidental power source polarity reversal - 50 volts maximum. You can use any old AC Adapter in the range of 9 to 23 Volts that can supply minimum of 50 mA DC. The external power source must not exceed 25 Volts at any time.

You may be able to purchase from your local electronics shop an AC Adapter-Center-Positive for under $6.00. You may also be able to purchase locally, for under $29.00,  a Solar Cell  with 125 mA -12Volts, that will plug right into the CE-3 chronograph.

The Solar Cell shown below was purchased from a local electronics shop for less than $29.00; product name:  1.8 W Eliminator Solar Power Panel. Link to the store where this solar cell was purchased Canadian Tire. This sample Solar Cell is capable of driving two CE-3 units under a full sun.
